Lathe

Requirements:

  • Easy to change speed (geared or VFD)
  • Rigid (so ideally heavier than the current lathe)
  • Fits in the space (max 1100mm length if we keep the sheetmetal worker alongside the lathe)
  • Power feed / gear cutting practical
  • Available spares and accessories
  • Metric handwheels/leadscrews
  • Preferably has a high spindle speed for efficiently working on small aluminium and plastic parts
